Program Description:

Private, non-profit housing development company that builds affordable housing in the Wake County and Triangle region. DHIC owns eleven complexes for seniors in Wake County: Chadwick, Club Plaza, The Commons at Highland Village, Highland Manor, Highland Terrace, Meadowcreek Commons, Murphey School, Roanoke Commons, Turnberry, Wakefield Manor, and Water Garden Park. Resources for Seniors contracts with DHIC to provide on-site supportive services via Service Coordination. DHIC also develops affordable housing properties for all ages; see website for details. DHIC also offers home ownership counseling and home buyer education, budget planning, and credit counseling to prepare for home ownership.
