Eligibility: Hospice services for anyone with six months or less to live, as determined by the diagnosis and certified by the physician. Home health services for homebound patients require physician orders. Infusion services deemed necessary by a physician.
Fees: Most services covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance; self-pay plans available; financial assistance available on a case-by-case basis.

Licensed, accredited, Medicare-certified, non-profit home health agency providing skilled nursing, therapies, and home health aides.
Duke Hospice provides comfort-oriented care for patients and their families at the end of life. Care can be provided in the home, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living facilities. Two inpatient hospice facilities, located in Hillsborough and Durham (6 and 12 beds, respectively), are available for patients with acute care needs. Infusion services provided in the home or at work as needed.
