Government agency which provides a variety of housing-related services, including certification of housing counseling agencies, funding and training for housing counselors, and sponsorship of HECM (reverse mortgage) program, among many others. Regional office ("HOC") serving our area is located in Atlanta. Clients are sometimes mistakenly referred to RFS by lenders, for default/foreclosure counseling, because we are a HUD-certified housing counseling agency.
