Program Details

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM
Eligibility: Must be income-eligible and age 50+ for Glenwood Towers and Carriage House. Current income limit is $28,000 for a single person or $32,000 for a couple.

Program Description:

Offers subsidized public housing, including two senior buildings -- Glenwood Towers and Carriage House. Tenants must be age 50+ and meet income requirements. Also operates Parkview Manor and Carousel Place -- affordable housing complexes for seniors age 55 and older. See separate listings. Redevelopment of former public housing area at Walnut Terrace is now completed, and the property is open for business. Raleigh Housing Authority also has HUD Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers which allow individuals and families to select their own housing and receive government rent subsidies; estimated wait list for a voucher is 4-8 years.
