Total Life Centers provide group care in a community setting for adults (age 18 or older) requiring supervision during normal work hours. Program participants interact with staff and other participants in discussions and activities to provide pleasant experiences including good nutrition, and exercise of mental and physical abilities. Total Life Centers are an alternative to long-term care placement that provide for the total needs of the person as a daytime relief for caregivers who need to work or need a break. All centers are State of North Carolina certified adult day service. In addition to private pay clients, the Total Life Centers accept clients funded through various state and county sources including WI@H, CAP/DA, CAP/MRDD, APS, and WCHS. Cary, Kildaire TLC is a "social model" center, appropriate for those who do not have complex medical care needs. (Other TLC locations are available for those requiring medical assistance.) This center is licensed for up to 29 participants. From I-40: Take Exit 293 (US-1 & 64) going south toward Apex and Sanford. Exit at Cary Parkway. Turn right onto Cary Parkway at the end of the exit ramp and go about 2 miles to the light at Cary Parkway and Kildaire Farm Road. Turn right on Kildaire Farm Road, get in left lane and go about 1 city block to light at Kildaire Farm Road and High Meadow Drive. Almost immediately - turn right into first driveway off of High Meadow Drive which is the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church. The Total Life Center is located in the activity building at the top of the hill behind the brick church building.
