Program Details
Eligibility: Must be Wake County resident, have no A/C (or unable to use for economic or health reasons), low income, and have not received a fan from us the previous year. Must be at least 60 years old or disabled.

Program Description:
RFS will provide fans to needy citizens at least 60 years old or disabled, in Wake County during the summer months. Must have no A/C (or unable to use A/C for economic or health reasons), and must not have received a fan from RFS in the previous year. (Defective fans may be exchanged.) Recipients are no longer required to be Progress Energy customers in order to be eligible. Fans are provided through donations from individuals, churches, and other organizations. Fans may also be requested through Wake County Human Services/ Cool for Wake program at 212-7000.
