Program Description:

The Total Life Center provides group care in a community setting for adults (age 18 or older) who need supervision during normal work hours. Participants interact with staff and other participants in discussions and activities to provide pleasant experiences including good nutrition and exercise of mental and physical abilities. Total Life Centers are an alternative to long term care placement that provides for the total needs of the person, as well as daytime relief for caregivers who need to work or need a break. All centers are State of North Carolina certified adult day service. In addition to private pay clients, the Total Life Centers accept clients funded through various state and county sources. Cary, Bond Park TLC is a combination "health/social" center, with a nurse on staff at least 4 hours per day, so it can serve clients with moderately complex medical needs. This center is licensed for up to 29 participants. The center is located adjacent to the Cary Senior Center in Bond Park, near the intersection of Cary Parkway and High House Rd. From I-40, take exit 293 (I-440 South - this is Hwy 64 & 1) going towards Apex & Sanford. Exit at the Cary Parkway. Turn right on Cary Parkway at the end of the exit ramp. Go past the lights at Kildaire Farm Rd. and Old Apex Rd. Turn right on High House Rd. at Preston Corners. Follow High House for approximately 2 city blocks and turn right on Maury O'Dell Place (this is the first entrance for Fred G. Bond Metro Park). The first building on the right is the TLC, continue to the second entrance on the right for the Cary Senior Center.
