The Total Life Center provides group care in a community setting for adults (18 or older) who need supervision during normal work hours. Program participants interact as appropriate with staff and other participants in discussions and activities to provide pleasant experiences including good nutrition, and exercise of mental and physical abilities. Total Life Centers are an alternative to long-term care placement that provides for the total needs of the person as a daytime relief for caretakers who need to work or need a break. All centers are State of North Carolina certified adult day services. In addition to private pay clients, the Total Life Centers accept clients funded through various state and county sources including WI@H, CAP/DA, CAP/I-DD, APS, and WCHS. East Wake TLC is a combination "health/social" center, with a nurse on staff at least 4 hours per day, so it can serve clients with moderately complex medical needs. This center is licensed for up to 25 participants. DIRECTIONS: From Raleigh beltine (I-40/440), merge onto US-264-East via Exit 14 toward Wilson/Rocky Mount.
