The Senior Games is an annual event for those age 55+ to participate in athletic and artistic activities. Interested persons must be registered. Events include Athletics (archery, badminton, basketball shooting, basketball tournament, billiards, bocce, bowling, croquet, cycling, field events, football throw, golf, horseshoes, racquetball, shuffleboard, softball throw, softball tournament, spin casting, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field events); Performing Arts (comedy/drama, dance, instrumental, vocal music, line dancing, cheerleading); Heritage Arts (basketweaving, china painting, crocheting, hooked rugs, jewelry, knitting, needlework, quilting, stained glass, tole painting, tatting and needlelace, thrown & hand-built pottery, weaving, woodcarving and woodworking); Visual Arts (acrylics, drawing, mixed media, oil painting, pastels, photography, sculpture, watercolor painting); and Literary Arts (essays, short stories, life experiences, poetry). Local winners go on to the State Senior Games.
