Chapter provides free educational literature as well as counseling for ALS patients and their families, and sponsors local support groups all over NC. The chapter also provides loans and accepts donations of durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, and offers a quarterly grant of $625 that can be used for a variety of ALS-related needs such as home care or home modifications. Also does fund-raising and provides funding for research. This Chapter is part of a large national organization.
