Eligibility: Age 55+, low income, NC resident. (Encourage those with low skill levels, multiple challenges, and disabilities.)

Program Description:
(State program description: Make referrals to local SCSEP agencies.) The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides assignment to subsidized community service work for unemployed, low income seniors with poor employment prospects. Assists seniors with skill training and placement into unsubsidized work. The program is delivered by 5 Area Agencies on Aging throughout the state under the management of the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services, and by 3 national non-profit organizations that receive federal funding directly.
