Program Details
Eligibility: Primarily serves persons age 65+, but also serves adults age 18-64 who have a temporary or ongoing need due to accident, illness, injury, or disability.
Fees: Call for rates
Intake Process: Call main office for intake and to arrange assessment.
Service Area: Western Wake County including Cary, Morrisville, Apex, RTP. Also serves Orange, Durham and Chatham counties.
Program Description:
Nonprofit organization serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and family caregivers by providing companionship, transportation, in-home assistance, and respite for caregivers. Services may include escorted transportation to medical appointments, errands, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household organization. All companions are carefully screened and trained. Companions include pre-med and nursing students, homemakers, and retired professionals who are genuinely interested in working with older adults.
