Occupational therapist (OT) provides consultations for accessibility modifications for the home or environment in which the individual lives. Person-centered recommendations are tailored to an individual's specific needs, desires and medical conditions. The OT will provide a written plan for client's chosen contractor and coordinate closely with the contractor, or will work directly with her recommended contractors to make sure accessibility details are done correctly. The Occupational Therapist (OT) also offers home safety evaluations to help insure maximum safety and independence. A written list of recommendations and resources will be provided as well as any follow-up needed.
