Program Description:
The AARP Driver Safety Program is an 8-hour classroom refresher that can help you learn the effects of aging on driving and how you can adjust your driving. Most classes are taught in two, four-hour sessions spanning two days, and the course costs $10. Website allows you to search by zip code, and gives dates, times, and locations of upcoming classes. If you do not have web access, call the toll-free number, leave a message, and a volunteer will contact you to let you know of classes in your area. In Wake County, classes are offered at senior centers and some community centers.
