Eligibility: No age limit; anyone who is visually-impaired, legally blind, physically disabled such as quadriplegic or paralyzed, or loss of hands; dementia or Alzheimer's also qualifies; all must have doctor referral.

Program Description:
Provides telecommunications devices for customers who have hearing, visual, or other impairments. Sells equipment for those with impairments. Must call State of North Carolina Department of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at 874-2212 to see if qualify for free equipment. Toll-free numbers: (800) 851-6099 and (800) 999-5737.
