Program Description:
Specialized pharmacy serving people with chronic diseases and complex drug regimens requiring close monitoring for compliance or effective use. Delivers medications, synchronizes refills, files insurance. No additional charge (beyond drug cost) for delivery and other services. Accept & file most insurance including Medicare & NC Medicaid. Can provide medications in blister cards with auxiliary labels to improve compliance. Provide Medication Therapy Management through all Part D plans and ChecKmeds NC. Also carry health-related products including compression hose, braces, and bathroom medical accessories. Medicare-enrolled provider for durable medical equipment. Provide diabetes & asthma counseling. On-site flu, shingles, & pneumococcal vaccines and bill insurance. On-site brown bag drug reviews, blood glucose, & blood pressure screening. Provide on-site lunch & learn patient education programs with other providers.
