Program Description:
No Longer in Existence - DHHS is the state department which includes the Division of Aging and Adult Services, Division of Medical Assistance (Medicaid), Division of Facility Services, CARE-LINE (the statewide information and referral service), and other human service agencies. The Office of Citizen Services performs the ombudsman function for DHHS, including the Hispanic population. Provides information and referrals regarding available human services in NC to the general public, organizations, and government agencies. Oversees Disaster Coordination efforts for DHHS.
