Program Details

Hours: Operates Monday-Saturday, from 6 AM to 6 PM
Eligibility: Must reside in one of the defined zones. Must be able to show proof of age (over 60) or disability before reservation.
Fees: $2 each way within zone; $4 each way to travel outside of zone
Intake Process: Call to make reservation 24 hours before appointment.
Service Area: Call to inquire whether you are in a service zone.

Program Description:

Transportation program funded by Wake County for elderly and disabled residents of Wake County, outside of Raleigh and Cary. Services are via shared-ride van service, and can be used for many purposes including shopping, church, medical, etc. Program is funded from July 15, 2017 - June 30, 2018 or until funding runs out. Trips are $2 each way within service areas, and $4 each way to travel outside of service areas. Service areas are defined as four geographical zones covering the rural areas and smaller communities in Wake County. Reserved service seating is available on Monday - Saturday. Reservation requests must be made for the next day only (i.e. no standing orders). Also, additional seating may be available -- call reservation line for information.
